Ancestral Land Claims Commission to commence public hearings in June

The Commission of Inquiry into Claims of Ancestral Land Rights and Restitution will be visiting all regions and constituencies from 17 June to 25 July for public input.
During a media briefing held by the commission in Windhoek on Wednesday, it's chairperson, Judge Shafimana Ueitele said the first phase of their information gathering will deal with written submissions before going to the regions, adding that the commission is working on a tight deadline having been given one year by President Hage Geingob to complete it's work.
Judge Ueitele said the commission will listen to all groups and communities without fear or prejudice.
