Budget cuts impair Ministry of Fisheries' ability to control country's waters

Budget cuts have impaired the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources' capability to effectively monitor, control and provide surveillance, of the country's waters.
Fisheries Minister Bernhard Esau, who motivated the ministry's N$296 million budget for the current financial year, told the National Assembly that surveillance activities will be significantly reduced.
