Church leaders applaud political parties and candidates for running peaceful campaigns

The Church is starting to take its rightful place in society in issues ranging from spiritual and moral, politics and society.
Its visibility, particularly in the political arena, is widely considered to have diminished since independence.
However, during the just concluded elections, the church became notably more involved, most recently commending the Electoral Commission of Namibia for overseeing a peaceful election process.
Church leaders also credited political parties and their candidates for running peaceful campaigns.
