Commissioner for Refugees in the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration, Likius Valombola, is expected to appear today in the Katutura Magistrate's Court in Windhoek.
Valombola is accused of shooting Helao Ndjaba last month after an argument erupted between the two in the Ombili residential area.
The 25-year-old Ndjaba, who was shot once in the forehead with a pistol, succumbed to his injuries at the Katutura State Hospital's Intensive Care Unit on 28 May 2018.
Valombola was arrested but unprocedurally released from custody on the same day after only spending four hours in the holding cells at the Wanaheda Police Station.
He was then re-arrested three days later while on an official mission in the Kunene Region and brought back to Windhoek for his first court appearance on 28 May 2018.
He is currently out on N$15 000 bail.
