Dundee Precious Metals is investigating an incident at the start of this month, that saw two of its employees sustain serious injuries while on duty.
Managing Director Zebra Kasete says in a media statement that the incident happened on the third of this month at its Ausmelt plant during a restart, after routine maintenance.
The Ausmelt furnace is Dundee's primary smelting vessel, which is part of the smelting process.
Kasete says the two employees were injured in the process, but are now receiving medical attention.
He has urged the workforce to be vigilant and maintain safe work practices at the Tsumeb-based smelter.
