Hundreds queue at Khomas Regional Education office for placements

More than 300 parents whose children are not yet in schools and who submitted their names to the Ministry of Education have gathered at the Khomas Regional Education office at Frans Indongo Gardens in central Windhoek to hear at which schools their children are placed.
They are eager to get their children, especially for Grades 1 and 8, into schools as soon as possible.
Some parents say they are not happy with the way the directorate of education are dealing with this process and asking for a change in the enrollment process in Government schools.
Parents who NBC News spoke to say they are disappointed with the way some schools sent them back and forth while children say they fear missing out on lessons as classes already started in most schools.
