Itula to ask Supreme Court to review EVM judgement

Independent presidential candidate in the November 2019 election, Dr Panduleni Itula is approaching the Supreme Court, asking the Chief Justice Peter Shivute to review its recent judgment.
The court last week declared the use of electronic voting machines (EVMs) without voters verifiable paper trail in the 2019 elections as unconstitutional but the court declined to set the election results aside as prayed by Dr Itula and others.
The new petition is in terms of article 81 of the Namibian Constitution, for Supreme Court to reconsider its previous decision, the nullification.
The applicant's lawyer, Elise Angula confirmed to NBC News that the government respondent has already been served with the papers, and the rest of the respondents will be served with the same and thereafter, filling with the Supreme Court.
This is a developing story.
