The Keetmanshoop Municipality has allocated N$15 million for completing the servicing of 110 erven in the Westdene residential area including the provision of roads and electricity services.
The town's public relations officer, Dawn Kruger, made the announcement in a press statement sent to NAMPA.
Kruger said the erven had already been serviced with water and sewer reticulation in 2016.
The Urban and Rural Development Ministry, the municipality and National Housing Enterprise handed over 88 plots in the Krönlein residential area to J Groenewaldt Properties last month.
The plots were for the construction of houses project, that started in 2013, under the Mass Housing Programme worth N$22 million.
So far, 199 houses had been constructed, of which 159 were handed over to the respective owners, while the rest will be handed over soon.
