Musicians fined for gathering at nightclub

Thirty-one Windhoekers were arrested for contravening COVID-19 state of emergency  Regulations on Saturday at about 22h30 at Funky Lab Club, Independence Avenue, Windhoek.
Among the arrested suspects are Thomas Nakashole, the nightclub owner, musician Panduleni Shipushu (Sunny Boy) and Joseph Ailonga (Jossy Jossy), who is also a musician.
The Namibian Police said in a statement issued to the media, "the suspects gathered in a nightclub with a common purpose of music entertainment, trading liquor and refused to keep distance when directed to do so by authorized officers."
The suspects were arrested, charged and given admission of guilt fines of N$2 000-00 each.
