NANSO launches Fix The Home project

The Namibia National Students Organisation (NANSO) has launched a project called Fix The Home with the aim of improving the living conditions of university students by providing them with better housing.
The project, which will be funded by NANSO, will upgrade houses inhabited by students.
Ten of them have been identified to benefit from the initiative.
Bertha Iileka, an Accounting student from the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), from Greenwell Matongo informal settlement, is the first beneficiary.
NANSO president Siom Taapopi called other stakeholders and building materials companies to assist, to ensure the success of the project.
The houses will be built with low-cost materials using ECO bricks.
