Sentencing of Avid five starts

Sentencing in the Avid corruption and theft case involving N$30 million from the Social Security Commission started in the Windhoek High Court Thursday morning.
Former MP Paulus Kapia, Ralph Blaauw as well as Inez Gases were found guilty of fraud by High Court Judge Christie Liebenberg in May this year.
Sharon Blaauw was found guilty of contravening the Companies Act of 2004 because she signed documents without reading them properly.
Nico Josea was convicted of theft of N$29,5 million and reckless or fraudulent conduct of business.
