The former Minister of Information Communications and Technology, Stanley Simataa has resigned as a member of the National Assembly (NA) with immediate effect.
The NA's public relations officer David Nahogandja said the NA has also received a letter from SWAPO, in which the party has replaced Simataa with Gothard Kasuto, who is next on the party list.
Simataa is one of the Ministers who did not make it to President Hage Geingob's Cabinet after he announced a reduction of ministries from 26 to 19.
Attempts to get a comment from Simataa proved futile.
