Trustco to acquire shares in South African insurance company

Trustco has offered to acquire shares of N$2 billion in a South African insurance company.
The acquisition of Constantia Risk and Insurance Holdings and Conduit Ventures will be Trustco's biggest cross border transaction by a Namibian company.
Trustco will buy the shares through its subsidiary Legal Shield Holdings and plans to expand its insurance business regionally, which they believe will be achieved through these ventures.
Quinton van Rooyen, the Managing Director of Trustco Holdings described the transaction as a huge vote of confidence in the capabilities of Namibian business, even in challenging economic climate.
Trustco says Constantia operates in both short and long term insurance markets and has substantial growth opportunities if capital is made available.
