The race served as both a sports day and community fun event, where families were able to enjoy being close to the beautiful Namib Naukluft Park.
Competitors entered in four categories, namely the 42 km, 10 km. 5 km and a fun run and walk.

“It was a good race, but very tough. I came from Australia from the Commonwealth games with an injury, but I made it. I was told that at the 20 km it is downhill till the turn around, I pushed hard and finish first” Namupala said.
“It is the 3rd time I’m winning this marathon and feeling good. I am happy with my time. Just a long run and I did not run fast” Ekandjo said.
