Vikings win Volleyball For All tournament

The Vikings emerged as champions of the 37th Windhoek Draught DTS Volleyball for all tournament, for which two-hundred-and-forty teams registered.
The annual Windhoek Draught DTS volleyball for all tournament kicked off at eight o'clock on Saturday morning and ended in the evening of the same day.
The two-hundred-and-forty teams in attendance played on twenty volleyball courts for the first round.
Sixty-four teams made it through to the second round, and thereafter thirty-two teams made it to the third round.
Eventually, only sixteen made it to the forth and eight made it to the fifth round, which led to the semi-finals and ultimately, the final.
The four teams that made it through to the semi-finals included the Vikings, who won the first prize, while EZ- pass came second, Super Stars third and GTECH fourth. The two captains share their views on the final.
“It is happiness, It’s just my team played amazingly, We played very good and I'm like a proud Namibian. It was very nice” : Leigh-Anne Delie said.
“We played all the way up to the finals, It was actually a fun-filled day and we had fun. Unfortunately, we could not win the finals and the best team won “Obie Sisamu said.
There was a high turnout of spectators, who described the tournament as a great opportunity for networking and getting active in sports.
