Central sea waters claim another life

A 10 year old boy drowned in the sea near Henties Bay on Wednesday afternoon.
Delwin Nanubeb was the oldest among five boys between the ages of 6 and 10 that went swimming.
The police report states that the group of boys went swimming around 14:00 and they were taken deeper in the sea by strong waves.
A young man strolling by the beach witnessed the incident and immediately swam to save the boys.
Only four were rescued but the fifth boy, Nanubeb drowned and his body has not been found yet.
The youngest survivor was unconscious and was taken to the clinic for medical treatment.
The search for the body is ongoing.
This is the second drowning in a space of 4 days along the central coast. Last Saturday a prominent Omaruru businessman lost his life when the car he was traveling in sank in the sea at Pelican Point, south of Walvis Bay.
