Government lifts ban on transportation and marketing of timber outside Namibia

President Hage Geingob announced that Government had lifted a ban on the transportation and marketing of already harvested timber.
Geingob says farmers will now be allowed to export the timber, that has been lying on their farms, outside the country.
However, he says, a factory needs to be set in the two Kavango regions to process timber locally.
