NAMAs slated for 2 May

Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMA) executive Tim Ekandjo on Tuesday announced that the 10th awards ceremony will take place on 2 May.
Ekandjo, at the press conference Tuesday morning, announced that the nominee announcement will be on 27 March at the National Theatre of Namibia (NTN).
"This year's nominations were the toughest. The margins of those who are nominated and those who did not make it are very close," said Ekandjo.
According to him, the 10th-anniversary show will incorporate an aspect of all the awards ceremonies.
This year will be the last that mobile telecommunications giant MTC will be part of the biggest musical event on the Namibian musical calendar.
Ekandjo further called on other corporates to take on the project.
He said that MTC will be releasing all the intellectual property it has on the brand.
"It is sad to see that project managers (MTC) are closing a project when it's at such a high," concluded Ekandjo.
The last edition will be held at The Dome in Swakopmund.
