Ndahangwapo Kashihakumwa heads newly established anti-poaching unit

Retired Police Commissioner, Ndahangwapo Kashihakumwa is the head of the newly established anti-poaching unit.
The Minister of Environment and Tourism, Pohamba Shifeta made the announcement today.
The ministry received approval to establish a dedicated Wildlife Protection Service in 2016 in an effort to curb increasing incidents of poaching of endangered species.
Kashihakumwa comes with vast experience having led the anti-poaching mission in 2014/15, in Etosha National Park and surrounding areas, which led to a number arrests.
The appointment is effective from 1 August.
