The logistics sector, particularly trucks transporting food and other essentials, were this weekend responsible for implementation problems, in terms of lockdown regulations in place in the Khomas Region.
President Hage Geingob had to be briefed urgently by health professionals, law enforcement and the Executive Director of Health Ben Nangombe about the issue.
Some trucks were earlier detained on the first day of the lockdown.
Some of these trucks were carrying essentials such as medical supplies and food.
Nangombe spelt out the protocols to be followed henceforth.
The President reiterated the need for supply chains of essential goods not to be interrupted.
