Rehoboth teenager stabs fellow learner to death

A 13-year-old boy was arrested on Tuesday at Rehoboth after he allegedly stabbed to death a 15-year-old boy at the hostel of St Joseph’s Primary School.
Namibian Police crime investigations coordinator for the Hardap Region, Deputy Commissioner Eric Clay said the incident happened between 06h30 and 07h00 on Tuesday.
It is alleged that the 13-year-old learner stabbed the 15-year-old Grade 8 learner of Rehoboth High School, who also resided at the hostel, with a kitchen knife once in the chest after an argument erupted between the two.
“The victim was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries,” Clay said, adding that it is not clear at this stage what led to the stabbing.
Police investigations continue.
