Three suspected robbers on the run

A 27-year-old Namibian man has been seriously wounded while three others are on the run after they allegedly assaulted, robbed and shot a Chinese family at Walvis Bay.
The Erongo Police confirmed that the incident happened at Tutaleni, Kuisebmond around 08h00 on Friday.
It is alleged that a 57-year-old Chinese national was about to leave his house to go to his office when five unknown men stormed his yard.
The group allegedly grabbed Jiansheng Zhou, and took him back into the house, where the assailants tied him up with his wife and elderly mother.
After the family had been bound with cables, the suspects allegedly started beating the Chinese man and demanded money from him.
Police say the money for the victim's workers' salaries was in his wife’s handbag which the suspects managed to get.
However, in the process, Zhou managed to free himself and get hold of his firearm, police say.
A shootout allegedly ensued between him and the robbers, whereby Zhou shot one of the robbers in the abdomen while his wife was shot by the suspects in the abdomen.
The three attackers are reported to have fled with N$30 000, one Lenovo lap top and two firearms.
Police searched the suspect who could not flee after being shot and recovered the victim's wife's ring in his pocket.
The police say they have also recovered over N$27 000 in cash.
The suspect has been transferred to Windhoek for further medical treatment under police guard.
Zhou's wife is still in the hospital in a stable condition.
Police have warned the public not to approach the three suspects as they are believed to be armed.
